Our products undergo extensive testing that exceeds the industry’s most rigid quality expectations. Insight-driven industrial design combined with engineered ergonomics and uncompressing quality and safety delivers long-lasting products and peace of mind to resellers and customers.
Ergotron knows you expect a product to work trouble free for a long time. To ensure the utmost confidence in our designs, Ergotron performs a rigorous test where height-adjustable products are subjected to continued lift/lower motion over thousands of cycles.
Each cycle equates to moving a lift-engine from its lowest position to its highest position and then back again. So when a product passes a 10,000-cycle test, it has been physically moved up and down 10,000 times!
What does this mean? You have a quality product that has been thoroughly tested thru all aspects of its function. In the case of the LX Arm, for example, to reach 10,000 cycles a user would need to move their display through the arm’s full 13" (33 cm) height range about three times a day over a ten-year period. That is unlikely to happen, but Ergotron always errs on the side of safety.
Ergotron is certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2015. This certification demonstrates Ergotron’s commitment to employing best-practice procedures in its facilities. Furthermore, our factory’s ISO 13485:2016 certification points to a robust quality management system overseeing our healthcare product manufacturing.
One reason for attaining this ISO certification is because Ergotron takes safety very seriously. And that is why we go a step further and emphasize complete certification of many of our products. For example, Ergotron medical carts are fully certified to UL/EN/IEC 60601-1 and CAN/CSA C22.2 No.601.1 M90 standards that regulate Electrical Medical Devices. This means the entire power system AND the cart itself are certified by a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL). Full cart certification eliminates any fear of EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) and controls leakage to NFPA levels.
Look for the sticker: Certified carts display a label on their outside as proof of certification. Ergotron has it—for the entire cart!

Our medical carts are certified—at both the power and cart levels.
