Dan Miller Senior Vice President of Operations


Dan joined Ergotron in October 2004 as Senior Vice President of Operations, as a result of the merger between Ergotron and CFT. He held the same position at CFT. Dan’s responsibilities include all Corporate Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain activities. Ergotron Manufacturing Operations include a small in house assembly group and Central Distribution / Customer Fulfilment in Eagan, MN. The majority of product manufacturing is done in Dongguan, China, through a joint venture company with Min Aik Technologies of Taiwan. The joint venture, called Min Aik and Ergotron (M&E) Technologies is majority owned by Ergotron and dedicated 100% to manufacturing Ergotron products. M&E was formed in 2005 and has gone from start up to over 3 million unit output per year in less than two years.

Dan has also been a vital contributor to the successful merger of CFT and Ergotron, with proven success as a “change agent” in various companies and Corporate structures spanning twenty-five years. He has broad experience with various technology companies in Operations and Marketing. His major company experience includes IBM Corporation, Control Data /Imprimis, and Western Digital Corporation. He has in depth knowledge of Asia outsourcing and manufacturing including a three year stint in Singapore running Materials and various operational units for WDC, including start up of disc drive manufacturing operation in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He was also an early leader in setting up supply base operations in Thailand, India, and China.

Dan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance from Mankato State University, with continuing education at the University of Minnesota Law School and in the Winona State University MBA program.

Dan and his wife, Kathy, live in Bloomington. Their daughter, Melissa, attends Northwestern University, Evanston, IL., where she is a member of the Wildcat basketball team. His hobbies and interests include fishing, golf, bird hunting, and snowmobiling.
