Management at Ergotron

Jane Rodmyre Payfer joined Ergotron in November, 2004. Now, with over 20 years experience in commercial and consumer marketing for small, medium and global organizations, she continues to learn new ways to refine her craft. She progressed from the traditional areas of sales promotion, advertising, and product marketing to management positions, where she had additional responsibilities in forging industrial alliances, organizing and establishing standards through international committees, constructing licensing consortiums, developing buying behavior models, and reorganizing product logistics, distribution, and sales to convert operational expenses into revenue contribution.

As the Chief Marketing Officer at Ergotron, Jane is responsible for leading the marketing team by developing a market vision in support of Ergotron’s strategic direction and brand image, formulating and communicating a market strategy, and assuring that her multi-talented team is executing tasks on time and under budget. The Ergotron marketing team is among the first B2B marketing organizations in Minnesota to understand and embrace social media practice, and has successfully built a global community through blogs, Facebook and Twitter initiatives. Ergotron’s social media culture is supported company-wide, reflecting the transparent nature of Ergotron’s business practice and ensuring every level of user experience holds up to Ergotron’s brand promise.

Prior to joining Ergotron, Jane’s responsibility for optical media products at Imation Corp. gave her worldwide experience in managing currency related pricing issues, forecasting product life cycles, and adapting to market saturation variables. She was most recently Director of Marketing for Visual Circuits, Inc., a major supplier of network attachable video replay servers.

Mrs. Payfer is currently on the boards of several organizations: WomenVenture, the Business Marketing Association of MN, and the MBA Council for Augsburg College. Jane and her husband Walter are the proud parents of six, parents-in-law to four, and grandparents to Talan and Floyd.
