Ergotron Bridges Gap Between Point-of-Care Computing and Medication Delivery with New Line of StyleView® Carts

ST. PAUL, MN October 12, 2007

You asked. We listened—and delivered—a point-of-care cart that provides even more caregiver efficiency, patient safety and quality care. Ergotron, the proven leader in point-of-care computing, will preview its latest line of StyleView point-of-care carts at the 2007 World of Health IT (WOHIT) show in Vienna, Austria, later this month (booth 719). Building upon the unparalleled features of the original StyleView, the latest version brings point-of-care computing to a whole new level.

StyleView’s expansive range of effortless height adjustment improves viewing comfort while enhancing productivity. All users, including those who wear progressive lenses, benefit from the 21 cm (20") of sit-to-stand motion, an additional 13 cm (5") of independent monitor height adjustment, and a screen tilt of 25° (on flat panel configurations). To reduce the risk of repetitive stress injuries, the keyboard tray provides up to 12° of negative tilt—recommended by ergonomists for proper typing position. Cables are neatly routed and hidden in an enclosed compartment, making it easy to keep things sanitary.

StyleView’s optional 55 Ah power system easily accommodates future hardware upgrades. And improved StyleLink software enhances power system management, helping extend battery life by offering battery cycle count, email alerts and automatic software updates. The powered carts come standard with a programmable, auto-locking electronic keypad medication drawer, making StyleView both a point-of-care cart and a medication-delivery system. Healthcare costs are reduced; patient care is improved.

“Technology at the point-of-care becomes critical when implementing a system that improves caregiver efficiency and patient safety while reducing medical errors,” explained Steve Reinecke, Global Director of Healthcare for Ergotron. “This is becoming a worldwide trend and we’re ready to leverage that success we’ve seen in America with the next generation of our StyleView Carts in Europe.”

The original StyleView Carts will also be on display at WOHIT, and are available while supplies last.

Move forward with the leader in point-of-care computing. Come see our award-winning line of mounting products at WOHIT October 22–24, booth 719.
