Channel Account Manager

Position Summary
The Channel Account Manager (CAM) will be the primary Point of Contact for National Channel Customer(s) and will be responsible for the development, maintenance and enhancement of Ergotron’s business relationships within those accounts. Sales Engagement with Partners/ Performance Measures:

Position Responsibilities include:
Plan and execute an effective relationship strategy and maintain effective long-term business relationships with representatives and members of their management.
Identify and prioritize opportunities and develop business partner growth strategies.
Develop an effective account plan, including the development of an annual business plan, determining sales and activity goals required for attainment of assigned quota
Responsible for revenue, market share, and customer satisfaction of assigned account(s).
Assist Distribution sales representatives in closing sales in order to achieve or exceed company business objectives.
Work closely with Marketing to create strategy and craft messages that speak directly to the needs of their accounts.
Effectively communicate Ergotron’s value proposition and product knowledge through sales activities, trainings and other events. This includes:
Assist customer in broadening their product expertise and sales opportunities.
Train customer on operational processes.
Drive product, promotions and programs.
Develop proposals, account or market plans, and forecast/report sales activity to assist in closing additional business.
Meet or exceed quota and profitability goals; Manage account to deliver committed revenue targets.
Assist customer in developing and managing a business plan that addresses the incremental growth of Ergotron revenue and market share.
Act as a champion and interface between customer and Ergotron and other functional groups (field sales, telesales, services, marketing, etc.)
Manage reporting and analytical procedures to provide a comprehensive perspective on the effectiveness of partnerships program and activities.
Interface with program management to identify operational concerns and assist with stock rotation.
Communicate customer feedback around products/services/pricing, etc. to Sales/Distribution Management.
Provide competitor feedback and new product support, and update/maintain customer information.
Prioritize and coordinate sales opportunities with Sales Manager.
Develop and execute product sales plans to capture prioritized sales opportunities.
Function as a high-level product/market and sales technical trainer as required.
Identify and provide basic input on sales tools, technical materials, sales collateral, media and other promotional materials and campaigns to the Channel Sales Group.
Communicate product requirements, technical requirements and specifications with respective Product Managers/ Market Managers.
Conduct on-site product sales training and market training with specific customers as required.
Identify training and reference materials needed for customer sales training programs.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications
BS/BA Degree in Business, Sales or other related field or equivalent experience
5+ years experience selling hard line technical solutions and/or working within a Channel sales environment
Strong aptitude in a “Team selling” environment
Proven ability to manage large accounts
Strong communication, training and presentation skills
Possesses Business and Financial Acumen
Ability to travel required
Fluent in English and knowledge of UK Market
