Management at Ergotron

Joel Hazzard was chosen as Upper Midwest winner of Ernst & Young LLP Entrepreneur of the Year® Award in the Consumer Products Category for 2009!

Mr. Hazzard joined Ergotron in October of 2004 with the responsibility of merging Constant Force Technology L.L.C. (CFT) into Ergotron and rapidly transformed Ergotron’s culture into a highly successful innovator of Mass Market Ergonomic Solutions. Under Joel’s leadership, Ergotron has been transformed into a highly innovative high growth company with five consecutive record years of growth while increasing the company’s value by over 200% over the same period.

Prior to joining Ergotron, Joel joined Constant Force Technology (CFT) in January of 2002 as President and COO and in the two and a half years at CFT he led the company from concept to rapid profitability, doubling the size of the company year over year and increasing the company’s value by over 30 times the initial investment. Other key accomplishments include; securing multiple major customers including Dell and HP, hiring a very strong management team and key infrastructure personnel in Asia and the US, implementing an extremely cost effective high quality manufacturing and supply chain operation, and positioning CFT as a very fast growing and highly recognized technology leader within the Information Technology industry.

Mr. Hazzard has over 35 years of Operational, Sales, Product Marketing, Engineering and business experience at the senior management level. Prior to joining CFT, he was Vice President of Sales and one of the Senior Management members with Manufacturers Services Limited (MSL), which was founded in 1995 and successfully grew to the top 10 within the EMS industry with annual sales of $1.8 Billion by the year 2000. MSL went public in June of 2000 (NYSE - MSV).

Prior to MSL he held various senior management positions with AT&T and NCR Corporation.

Mr. Hazzard is very proud of the number of quality jobs he has helped create by building businesses with high integrity that value employees and that focus on strong differentiation. He finds pleasure in working with a great team at Ergotron and helping design, manufacture and sell products that make the lives of millions of computer users significantly better.

Joel enjoys spending all of his free time with his wife and two kids enjoying outdoor activities including water skiing, snow skiing, bike riding, golf and other activities.
