Position Summary

Power system design engineer to support development of advanced power systems for mobile computing products. Involves system design, firmware, software, testing and certification of power systems and related subsystems. Position will work closely with suppliers, mechanical design, factory and product management teams.
Position Responsibilities include: Develop power systems, electronics, firmware and software for next generation power systems. Direct and coordinate design, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements. Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish design, manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications. Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards. Plan and implement research methodology and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects and develop future products. Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment and work with suppliers to specify, quantify and procure systems.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications

BS degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent. Electrical Engineering BS or MS degree More than 5yr Experience in electrical design More than 2yr Experience with power systems Familiarity with mechanical design Willingness to work on both future design concepts as well as current problem resolution
